Growing and Planting Garlic

Fall is the ideal time to plant garlic in the Pacific Northwest. Cooler temperatures and moist soil conditions help garlic establish strong roots before winter, setting the stage for vigorous growth in spring. Whether you’re growing for culinary use, storage, or seed, this class will equip you with the skills to grow garlic that thrives.
Pre-register 3-4 days prior to workshops to ensure there are enough materials and space.

Directions to Borst Demonstration Garden:
Take exit 82 off of I-5 in Centralia. Head west on Harrison Avenue. Turn left on Johnson Road, and go past the middle school and swimming pool. Follow the signs to the Borst Home.
